Scooter’s Coffee Teams up with NBA D-League’s Iowa Energy to Salute Veterans
National Franchise to Kick Off 2017 Season with Free Small Drinks on Veterans Day

Fri Nov 11 2016 - Omaha, NE – Scooter’s Coffee, the Midwest-based coffee franchise that has experienced tremendous growth over the past year, will team up with the NBA D-League’s Iowa Energy this season to salute veterans, past and present, throughout the 2016-2017 season. The program, “Salute to Troops,” will honor deserving veterans and active duty military at all Iowa Energy home games.

“We are thrilled to begin this partnership with an affiliation that shares the same passion that we do for supporting our troops and giving them the recognition that they deserve,” said Rob Streett, President and Chief Operating Officer of Scooter’s Coffee. “We are able to enjoy the game of basketball along with so many other civil liberties because of their dedication to our country, and this promotion will serve as a tribute to those who make it all possible.“

To further show appreciation and to kick off an exciting partnership, Scooter’s will be offering free small drinks for veterans nationwide on Veterans Day, this Friday, November 11, 2016.

The Iowa Energy is currently accepting nominations for the 2016-2017 season at Fans are encouraged to nominate veterans and active duty military of all branches to be honored during an Iowa Energy home game.

Heroes that are selected will receive the following for one Iowa Energy home game:

• Four (4) Floor Seats
• Four (4) Courtside Club Passes
o Access to Courtside VIP Zone
o Open Bar (Mixed Drinks, Beer, Wine, Water and Soda)
o Full Buffet Dinner (Mon-Fri Games) Dry Snacks (Sat-Sun Games)

• In-game recognition on video board and PA system telling the story of each Hero
• Swag bag provided by Scooter's Coffee and Iowa Energy

Scooter’s Coffee currently has eight locations in the Des Moines area, including its most recent store opening at 99 University, which is less than a mile away from Iowa Energy’s Wells Fargo Arena.
